Who controls your information
AEGIS TACTICAL SOLUTIONS LTD, trading as Aegis Freight, is the controller for personal information submitted through this website or sent directly to the business. Company number 16654295. Registered office: 97 Briar Crescent, Exeter, England, EX2 6DR.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, company, business contact details, enquiry correspondence, collection and delivery information, shipment details, booking information and records needed to prepare or coordinate a transport service. Technical request information may also be processed by the website host and form provider.
Do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information, passwords or payment-card details through the quote form.
Why we use it
- to respond to enquiries and prepare quotations;
- to assess, arrange and administer requested transport services;
- to communicate with customers, prospective providers and appointed providers;
- to maintain operational, commercial, accounting and dispute records;
- to protect the website and business against spam, fraud or misuse; and
- to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
Our legal basis will normally be taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, or pursuing legitimate business interests that do not override your rights.
Who receives information
Relevant information may be shared with prospective or appointed transport providers, professional advisers, insurers, claims handlers, technology suppliers and authorities where necessary. We only intend to share what is reasonably required for the relevant purpose.
The quote form is processed through Formspree. Website delivery and security services are provided through Cloudflare. Those providers may process technical or submitted data under their own service arrangements.
How long we keep it
Unsuccessful or preliminary enquiries are normally retained only while commercially or legally useful. Records connected to quotations, bookings, payments, disputes or legal obligations may be retained for longer applicable periods. Information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer reasonably required.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Security and international processing
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no internet service is risk-free. Technology providers may process data outside the United Kingdom under their contractual safeguards.
