Freight prices depend on the information and conditions actually encountered. Changes must be controlled, not disguised.
Additional operational charges
Waiting time, failed collection or delivery, redelivery, storage, demurrage, detention, port or terminal charges, customs examination, additional handling and route changes may be chargeable where incurred and not included in the quotation.
Incorrect shipment information
Incorrect weight, dimensions, cargo type, dangerous-goods status, value, customs data or access information can change the required service, cost or ability to perform the movement.
Currency, fuel and capacity
International freight rates can be affected by currency, fuel, carrier surcharges, space, equipment and seasonal capacity. The quotation validity states how long the rate remains open.
Duties and taxes
Customs duties, import VAT and other government charges are not included unless the written quote expressly says otherwise.

Customs
Clearance depends on accurate commodity, value, origin, Incoterms and party information. The importer or exporter remains responsible for truthful data.
Documentation
Freight documents may be included or separately charged. The quotation must state the scope.

Insurance is not automatic. Cover exists only when requested, accepted, quoted and confirmed in writing.
Loss or damage
Report visible damage or shortage immediately, preserve evidence and notify Aegis promptly so contractual claim procedures can be followed.

Do you own the vehicles, aircraft, vessels or warehouses?
No. Aegis Freight is a freight forwarder. We arrange services through appointed carriers and specialist providers selected for the confirmed movement.
Is a quotation a confirmed booking?
No. Capacity, space and services are confirmed only after written booking confirmation.
Are transit times guaranteed?
Transit times are estimates unless a specific commitment is expressly confirmed in writing. Weather, ports, customs, schedules and other events can affect timing.
Can you handle customs and final delivery?
Yes, where requested and confirmed. Customs, documentation, storage and final-mile services can be included as part of the forwarding scope.
Is cargo insurance included?
No. It is optional and only applies when requested, accepted and confirmed in writing under insurer terms.
How will I receive updates?
The update structure depends on the movement. Material milestones, delays and exceptions are communicated through the agreed operational contact and channel.
